A few translations of terms used in my shop:
Fat Quarter or FQ
This is 1/4 of one yard, but measures 18 inches by 22 inches, instead of the 9 inches by 44 inches if you were to request a quarter yard of fabric. This is popular for quilting, patchwork & Zakka projects. These are typically sold in sets of 4-6 in my shop.
These come in squares in a range of sizes either 4 inches by 4 inches (approximately 10cm by 10cm), 5 inches by 5 inches (approximately 12.7cm by 12.7cm) and 6.5 inches by 6.5 inches (approximately 16.5cm by 16.5cm). These come in a variety of prints to offer the buyer a selection from a range of fabrics without the cost of buying 10+ fat quarters of varying prints. The number of squares per pack varies. Be sure to check out the patterns section of my shop for patchwork projects to use your charm pack with!
